Verschiedene Sprachen, Bräuche, Kulturen, Werte – die Leben der Menschen sind sehr verschieden. Wir sind komplexe Wesen, getrieben und nach unseren Zielen strebend.
Was uns verbindet, ist die Schönheit der Welt. In Kunst, Musik und Tanz können wir die Grenzen unserer Kultur hinter uns lassen und uns von Mensch zu Mensch verbinden. Mit ihrer Malerei möchte die Künstlerin Sheryl Sumner Zen-Ruffinen die Betrachter – unabhängig von ihrem kulturellen oder persönlichen Hintergrund – bewegen und somit zu einer Einheit zwischen den Menschen aller Nationen beitragen.
Sheryl Sumner Zen-Ruffinen ist schweizerisch-amerikanische Doppelbürgerin. Ihre Kunst hat viele Gesichter, ihr Stil variiert von naturalistisch bis modern. Besonders oft malt sie Menschen- oder Tierportraits, Landschaften, Tänzerinnen oder aber frei und von ihren Gefühlen geleitet. Auch das Weltgeschehen findet immer wieder Ausdruck in ihrer Kunst.
Sie malt vorwiegend mit Acryl oder Öl auf Leinwand, aber auch mit Aquarell. Zen-Ruffinen hatte bereits mehrere Ausstellungen in Genf, La Tour-de-Peilz, Montreux und bei Privatpersonen. Ihre Kundschaft ist international und reicht von der Schweiz in die Niederlande, nach Italien, Großbritannien und bis in die USA.
Die Künstlerin ist verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Sie absolvierte einen Bachelor in Finance und war Besitzerin und Managerin mehrerer Firmen. Sie engagiert sich sehr für eine bessere Welt – in philanthropischen Tätigkeiten wie u.a. der Gründung der non-profit Organisation „Global Comfort FAB“, die sich hilfsbedürftigen Tieren annimmt.

Sheryl Sumner Zen-Ruffinen is a Swiss/American citizen. She has lived in Europe for many years including Amsterdam, London, Zermatt, St-Légier, and Chatel St-Denis.
Married with two children she has a BBA in Finance with Honours. Mrs. Zen-Ruffinen has owned and managed several businesses and is very involved in philanthropic activities. She is the Founder of the Swiss based non-profit association « Global Comfort FAB » which is dedicated to aiding the lives of animals and people around the world.
She has sold many paintings privately on commission, though expos and online. Her client base is international reaching from the USA to Europe including the UK, the Netherlands, Italy and Switzerland.
She has held several private and public exhibitions in Geneva, La Tour de Peilz, Montreux and private homes.
Her work is varied with several themes being modern, abstract, impressionism and realist which include:

The medium is primarily acrylic, oil on canvas and watercolor.
My belief is that we transcend culture through many things: art, music, dance and other activities.
Our lives are all very different. We have different languages, customs, cultures, and values. We are complex, rushed, and constantly thriving to reach our objectives.
But the beauty of our world is shared by all. My art, be it a landscape, person, animal or abstract, aims to achieve a unity between people of all nations.
